Sounds like a buggy X-windows implementation.  Do you have "xhost +"
set in the first one?  If so, nobody is supposed to be able to mess
with the windows or create new ones on that server except you.  If
you did "xhost +" or  "xhost localhost" or some such silliness
there, then the protections are turned off.  Maybe the default is
wrong in that installation?

Callbacks are the things that "happen when you click".  The only
time I've personally seen problems with callbacks are when I'm first
writing new GUI code and creating new callbacks.  As far as I know
there aren't any such problems in the current code.  Are you running
the latest CVS or a recent release?
