[Xastir] serial comms lost... I can't figure this one out.

Do you get any error messages in the terminal you used to start xastir?

It could be that it's a permissions problem, especially if you've
rebuilt xastir recently.

chmod 4755 /usr/local/share/xastir

(or wherever your xastir is) may help
