[Xastir] Xastir going down at night

cvs update (or is it svn now?) and then a make clean, configure, make, 
make install.  Pretty easy.

My thought of a memory or controller issue is a device failure.  Like 
Curt, I've seen this happen and the failure modes are more numerous than 
I thought they'd be.
