[Xastir] Radar display

I'm trying to get Xastir to display the radar from WMSRadar.geo

I have other maps working fine; shape files, etc. but not the .geo files
(tigermap.geo works, but nothing else).

OS is Debian Linux. I'm running Xastir in VNC; vnc server is started with
"-depth 16"

I can display the fetched radar with "display ~/.xastir/tmp/map.png"

I get no errors in the window where I started Xastir (with debug set to 512 I
see it fetching the file).

Any suggestions on what I should be looking at to further debug this problem?
