Hmmm.  There are multiple multiverse lines in my /etc/apt/sources.list
file, but I don't know which one is specifically needed for getting 
the openmotif stuff.  Clicking the single "multiverse" button in Synaptic just
uncomments them all (or adds additional ones, I'm not sure) --- so it 
accomplishes the same thing without manual editing and guessing.
