[Xastir] Help needed in compiling Xastir-1.9.0 missing lib's

I am running Ubuntu-6.10, and I've been trying to install 
xastir-1.9.0...Now the problem is this, I have all of the files except 
for Geotiff & Gdal, I used the ubuntu xastir/wiki directions but I still 
end up qith these two files missing...

Is there anyone that is running Ubuntu 6.10, with the latest version of 
Xastir, if so I would like to know how to go about getting it to compile 
all of the scripts needed...
