The number of Xastir users world-wide isn't sufficient in general to
support something like user meetings.  Your best bet is to find a
more experienced person near you who can help and/or ask lots of
questions on this mailing list.  We're here to help.  A few of us
are also into RACES, ARES, or SAR, or supporting public service
events of various types.
