Thanks for that!  I just did an update on a couple of systems and a
complete install on another this weekend.  Yep, my mods went bye-bye
and I've since converted to your way of thinking.

I created a "51-joystick-we7u.rules" file on each system with only
two lines in it.  There was already a file in there starting with
"51-", but it doesn't matter as long as I don't have a name clash.
