Ok, wget doesn't work either. There was an error in the console that said that the radar image couldn't be downloaded, increase internet map timeout. However, the timeout is maxed out at 300s. So apparently Xastir doesn't like it when a map isn't available but, in my case, it simply dies waiting for it.
Suggestions?
