I found that one script would run, the other wouldn't.  The 250k
script had DOS line-ends throughout, which caused the Perl
interpreter not to run.  I fixed it in CVS.

I added more explicit instructions to both scripts, but there's only
so much Unix edumacation one should do in script comments.
