Well, I accidentally tested it again by replying to your post from
gmail, and the reply made it to the list.  The problem was transient,
whatever it was.

Not sure if return receipts would be honored by mailman, or if mailman
would allow them to pass to the list recipients.  I suspect neither,
but don't know for sure.
