I thought for sure I would be able to see the problem on the Eee PC
with EeeBuntu 3.0 (standard), which uses Gnome and is based on Ubuntu
9.04. However, after installing Compiz and enabling several effects,
Xastir (CVS build from May) works just fine with all menus. Perhaps
this is no longer an issue in Ubuntu 9.04 - either that or whatever
tweaking Eeebuntu did to their Gnome implementation fixed the problem.
I am curious if anyone has seen this "cigar" or "bullet shaped"
problem in Ubuntu 9.04.
