[Xastir] Feature updates?

Since we are talking about features. There is a freebie piece of
Emergency Management GIS software called MARPOLT and this software runs
on the WIN32 platform. Now one of the features I like about this
mapping software is the ability to download tiger map lines directly
from web and save them locally.

I know you can download the tiger info manually then do all the
converting to make it run in Xastir, but I was thinking that having the
same feature that MARP:OT has would be make things a little easier for
users. One scenario that comes to mind is if a SAR team receives a call
from a county or other area outside of their normal operational area.
All they would have to do prior to deployment would be to fire up the
downloader and select the new area.

You'd really have to see how MARPLOT does this first hand to appreciate
the feature/function.

Great software anyway you shake a stick at it though.
