Thanks Dick, the how-to document looks like it should help, except that the dbf doesn't look anything like I expected. I've copied a small piece of it below. It looks to me like it has the two letter state code, followed by the state name, then the fips code and finally the lat and long. But since none of them are really named, I'm not sure how to address them in the dbfawk file.
Anyone got an idea?
Example of the s_01au07.dbf file:
k9 ¡ A W STATE C NAME C FIPS C LON N LAT N
DCDistrict of Columbia 11 -77.01692 38.89078 AZArizona 04 -111.93248 34.17163 OHOhio 39 -82.67375 40.19406 -82.66098 41.76506 CACalifornia 06 -119.25700 37.26842 ALAlabama 01 -86.68338 32.60661 ARArkansas 05 -92.12893 34.75712 COColorado 08 -105.54781 38.99604 CTConnecticut 09 -72.75720 41.52281 DEDelaware 10 -75.41699

What I'd like to do is change the color of the borders from black to red maybe or even bright green. Something to distinguish it from the county lines when I turn them on too.
