Hi Tom and all,

I am using Xastir 1.9.4 from the Ubuntu repositories.

The reason I am using the version from the repositories is that I
honestly do not want to go through a self-install compiling the code,
etc. The current appliances that were pre-built are not using the latest
version of Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu, hence why I opted to build my own
appliance.

I guess I could try to compile and install my own version, but I don't
know if I want to go through the process. I like Linux, but I find that
Linux is very frustrating at times and I think the world should have
evolved beyond having to use a terminal all the time....sorry,
editorializing.

In any case, since no one sends me messages...well not too often :-( I
don't care much about it closing and restarting at 4:00 in the morning.

I will also try the pre-built appliance to see if the current version
has the same issues as the one I built.

Best Regards,

Duffy
