[Xastir] Time to discard VMware as an option?

Hi all,

In my ideal world (platform agnosticism) Xastir would run as a web  
application on localhost, and you would use your browser of choice to  
do everything (rather like aprs.fi does so far).

(I'll say no more on this until I'm in a position to contribute  
substantial code to such a venture :-)
