[Xastir] maps, shp and jpegs

To be more specific:  The script that does the conversion needs the
.inf file and the image file in the same directory when you do the
conversion.  Xastir then needs the image file and the newly-created
.geo file that goes with it in order to use the map.  You also have
to reindex before Xastir can find them.

Maps must reside somewhere under the Xastir maps directory, which is
typically /usr/local/share/xastir/maps/, but can be changed during
the configure step to be located elsewhere.  You may create symlinks
and subdirectories under there at will, as long as the permissions
of the directories and files are such that a normal user can read
them and navigate the directories.

You need either GraphicsMagick or ImageMagick installed in order to
run the conversion script, and either GM or IM compiled into Xastir
in order to use the converted maps from within Xastir.
