The issues people have been complaining of fall out of use of Macports, and
the Macports folks decision to not use the system X11 ever.

At this point I think people need to start filing bugs in Macports against
e.g. openmotif or asking on their lists, as I'm now nearly certain it can't
be fixed from this end; I don't have time to debug X11 protocol issues to
determine what they need to fix, but I'm fairly certain it will ultimately
be theirs to fix regardless.
