[Xastir] Mac OS X serial port woes

Curt, I had tried root/4755, no joy.  (failed to mention that earlier,
sorry.)  I don't have one plugged in currently, but I'm pretty sure
the dev special files are mode 666.

The USB device special file names have not changed.  FTDI drivers use
consistent names (one reason I love 'em), Keyspan devices were not
moved for the test (Keyspan _will_ change, depending on location in
the USB tree and/or enumeration order.)

What stinks is that I can fire up kermit and talk to the TNC or the
GPS just fine, then when I exit kermit and fire up xastir it won't
work.
