[Xastir] Xastir2.0 v.s. OpenGTS.Org?

At a glance, this looks pretty heavyweight in terms of hardware
resources. e.g.: "OpenGTS is completely implemented in Java and
should run fine on any system that fully supports the Java Runtime
Environment."

Java, especially javascripting (which it appears to use), seems to me
to be a pig. No more running on a 486 for Curt!

Besides that: "However, this implementation does require an SQL
database server, and is therefore also limited to systems on which
your chosen SQL database runs."

I'm currently exploring a good way to run xastir in a permanent mobile
installation. A monster app requiring java/javascripting/sql
server/google maps does not fit this scenario.

For that matter, I've got serious reservations about the sql database
idea for xastir 2.0, unless it's a completely library-enabled approach
(e.g. sqlite).
