[Xastir] Xastir2.0 v.s. OpenGTS.Org?

Hello everyone,
	I've heard only a little about the plans for Xastir2.0 or it's  
status.  But what I have heard seems similar to (or adaptable to) what  
OpenGTS.Org seems to do.  Is it important to "roll our own" or would  
it be more effective to adapt OpenGTS to our needs?  I understand the  
developer for OpenGTS is quite open to adapting his code for a lot of  
different capabilities.  Does this make sense?

PS.  I sent this to xastir-dev at xastir.org and I didn't get a bounce or  
see it come back so I don't know if that's working.
