[Xastir] getting maps to draw, my experience

Steve,
This trick didn't produce any different results, but it did help me to
see that the maps stored on my computer are displaying, and when they
overlay, it makes a mess. So a little light bulb went on. A short term
solution for me would be to get a decent map for my area and store it on
my computer.
