[Xastir] Cygwin problem, probably routine

Hello All,

I'm very pleased to have recently installed XASTIR on Cygwin here. (I
installed Cygwin for the purpose of running XASTIR. I went the Cygwin
route because I'm considering dabbling with other Linux apps on Cygwin.)
However I've run into a vexing problem: suddenly if I right-click on the
map, the mouse pointer changes from an arrow pointing northwest to an
arrow pointing northeast, and then XASTIR refuses to respond to any
further mouse clicks or keyboard keys. And it's not just XASTIR; xterm
doesn't respond either. All I can do is kill XASTIR and xterm the Windows
way (the big red X in the upper-right corner) and stop the Cygwin/X Server
by right-clicking the tray icon and clicking Exit.

As far as I know I haven't changed anything in my Cygwin environment since
installing XASTIR. I think I must be doing something wrong. Does anyone
have any clue, or should I ask on one of the Cygwin lists?
