I noticed that regardless of the WM I use with sidux the whole X
system becomes useless as soon as I right click on the map in xastir.

I am still shopping for a new distro/wm, but in the meantime my son
and I tried something on his computer. I "scp -R ~/.xastir ...." to
his machine. Running the same version of sidux + KDE4 that my machine
is and changed the callsign to his. No Problems....??? Go figger....

FWIW Fedora 12 seemed to work fine but I was running Live and
installed xastir. No hang ups

Is it possible that the chipset on my machine is the root cause of the
issue since upgrading to KDE4 and it's associated packages? My machine
came with a "Gaming" video card. It was there so I never removed it,
but would it be worth the effort to try removing it and using the
onboard video chipset and see what happens? Opinions?
