Can safely be ignored. Shapelib is included with Xastir these days
and it changes very little. If you're only using Shapelib itself
from within Xastir then you won't need a separate Shapelib install.

Looks like you don't have gettext or libintl or similar installed?
Check the OSX install instructions on the Wiki to see if this is
covered.
