Hi Tony,

Yes, the referenced Xastir binary works in either Mepis 8.0/8.5 or
Debian Lenny.  It does include OSM support, which was implemented well
before June 29th.  In fact the most significant tweak to OSM was done
on June 29th - or that's when the email on it was sent to the list, so
the binary should be fairly up to date with respect to OSM.

I see in the Xastir binary page I labeled it "1.99" in the Mepis
section but not in the Debian section, so I'll fix that.  It's the
same binary file regardless.  The easiest install scenario for the
Debian/Mepis binary is in Mepis 8.5.  The gdebi installer is already
present, so it's just single mouse click on the deb file to get the
installation started.

Yes, the Ubuntu binary was just recently updated - the previous
version was dated June 28th.
