Also don't forget that you need to chmod the xastir binary
in /usr/local/bin to 'sudo chmod 4755 /usr/local/bin/xastir' so that it
has the correct permissions to run using your serial ports, the is a
line in update-xastir that you can un hash to make this the default for
future updates.

Do you have Samba installed ? also cups is another culprit for tcp
flooding your ax25 ports!
