[Xastir] DSL Soundmodem

Hi all

just a quick one and all answers (noob-compatible) will be greatly
appreciated.

I set up sounmodem and xastir in Damn Small Linux. Soundmodem decodes
nices and works great with Xastir on a pre-ancient vaio (500Mhz
Coppermine - 64 Mb Ram...no comment:-) ).

For PTT I use a prolific USB to serial that is indeed displayed in lsusb

I tried all root sounmodemconfig options for PTT control and
unfortunately it refuses to key the V71 (yes, PC and radio match port
speeds).

Any wild ideas?
