[Xastir] What are these KISS TNC settings for?

I have a question about some settings in the Configure KISS TNC screen. And
if what I've got set seems about right.

 

There is a TxDelay that I've got set to 8

 

Persistence that I've got set to 0

 

SlotTime set to 0

 

And TxTail set to 30

 

When I look at my raw packets, I never see anything other than my 30 minute
beacons. I live in a fairly unpopulated area in northwest Illinois so there
isn't a lot of traffic but I would expect at least some to pass through.
Unless the fact that I've got an Internet connection running as well.

 

Any thoughts?
