[Xastir] NWS shapefiles HOWTO?

What does the output stream from this site look like? I've been trying
to work towards getting the same type of system set up for Canada. I
have yet to be able to find out what the data coming from the upstream
source in the USA looks like. I have access to some weather alert
data, but don't know if the way it is delivered would be compatible or
not.
