[Xastir] Xastir latest for Ubuntu... was: Fwd: [Ubuntu-hams] more ham packages in the ubuntu-hams PPA (fwd)

I've been told that unless you compile from source you don't get as many
maps - and cannot add them later.  Is this accurate?
