[Xastir] {Disarmed} KAM not transmitting and solution

Hi Bill*,
*thanks for the suggestion: I'll check it out just in case, but I
strongly doubt this can be the cause, as the "mistake" always happens
at the same point of the string.
What here appear as garbled characters are rather "non visible"
control characters as represented in the copy and paste from the
terminal.
On my Ubuntu window they show up as a little boxes containing the
char's ascii code.
