[Xastir] Xastir ---> D700 Messaging via Internet

I vaguely remember discussing this with Curt in the past but can not
remember if this was ever addressed.

The problem:

When I send a message from Xastir via the internet (the only connection
that I have) to a mobile or another base that is running a D700 I never
get a message ACK.

Every time I end up canceling the the message after about 5 to 10
minutes and doing a SMS or Cell-TXT.

Who has a D700 that I can send test messages to while the programming
guru's watch what is happening and figure out a fix?
