I have a Pi and a BBB sitting here on my desk, but haven't played with them much yet.  Had to go look up what an LCD7 was (LCD7 Cape).

Consider writing up a page for the Xastir Wiki, as I suspect others may be interested in duplicating what you did and that would be the most logical place for them to look for it.
