Howdy all,

I don't recall if there have been any questions about doing it, but I
have successfully install XASTIR on a BeagleBone Black with an LCD7. I
am running the Ubuntu 13.04 distribution and everything seems to be
working great.

I actually ended up trying to install two times as during the first I
ended up with a read only file system part way through the
installation. I followed the Ubuntu 12.10 instructions on the wiki as
it was the latest, and I'm not sure exactly what but something
happened when installing the essential libraries as the second step.

I had taken quite a few notes so it was wasn't a big deal to reflash
the eMMC and start over. Thinking that installing xorg-dev during the
install process without installing xorg (which I had done previously)
may have broke it, I simply lumped all the libraries and packages into
one long line. Once they all installed, I continued on with my initial
configuring of the board before starting on the cvs step.

Other than taking quite a while to compile, everything went smoothly.
I also tracked down and uncommented the define statements in main.c
for small touchscreen operation which makes it pleasant using the
LCD7.
