[Xastir] tiger2008 ugly map

Hi all:

I followed instructions from here:
http://www.xastir.org/wiki/HowTo:MAPS:Older_Tiger/Line_maps

Fired up xastir, then closed it, ran the perl script and then opened 
xastir (new install) and chose four counties with the map chooser, 
clicked apply and ok.

So I have a map and you can kind of see kj6upe in there, but no cities, 
roads, etc.  Is this how it should look?

Tips would be very welcome.
