That's a good tracker (I've used them on balloons).  I'm not sure what
the duty cycle of that transmitter is. 1200 baud APRS at 1Hz is dang
near 100%.

But it's $265. Mine costs around $100 (~$40 for the Xbee radio module)
and the Eggtimer Rocketry trackers are around $75.
