[Xastir] Map Question

Has anyone used the 2017 tigermaps? I spent the last couple of days downloading the 2009 maps (all 50 states, but only the recommended files). [That’s about 12GB, or 36GB when unpacked.] I see that there are also 2017 files. I wonder if they’re the same or different and if they are worth the time. Has anyone looked? I know that there have been some road changes in my area that I speculate might be in the files. Just a question before I spend much time looking.
