[Xastir] It appears the GIT repro has been locked down

Nope.  It is not locked down.

What URL did you use to clone?  There's an ssh and an https url you can
use, and if you use the ssh one you need to set up github with an ssh public
key.

The https clone url (https://github.com/Xastir/Xastir.git) should not
prompt for a user id and password.

This will also happen if you leave off the "https://", because github will
assume ssh://.
