Correct.  We end up translating the two points provided out to
diagonal corners of the image and then we stretch/shrink/crop to fit
the screen and zoom level.

Well, we're kind'a heading towards being more like GIS programs, but
we certainly don't have the knowledge/skillset in the current group
of developers in order to always do things the "right" way.  Just
using two points we can do some cool things, but we can't do rotation
or complex translations on the image.
