That might get a bit tricky.  The Linux kernel has support for the
AX.25 protocol built-in.  What you want to do is instead use the
KISS features of the soundcard interface and skip the AX.25 kernel
networking stuff, as you don't have AX.25 kernel networking in OSX.

I think Dick, KC8OBZ, is using the soundcard driver on Solaris,
which is another OS that doesn't have AX.25 kernel networking.  He's
got it configured to use the KISS interface, then Xastir connects to
that.  Check out the Solaris mods in the code.  You might be able to
adapt that more easily to OSX.
