It does not.  XPM format is a very verbose bitmap format as well.
You'll be happier speed-wise with vector maps instead of raster
maps.

Usually the filtering port is 14580.  10151/10152 don't usually have
filtering on them.  Try 14580 to see if that server supports that
port.
