[Xastir] Maps pause while loading?

Hello all -

I don't know if this is a bug or just a fluke on my end..

I noticed today, more than once, that my maps would "pause" while loading.
It appeared that XAstir would load the file it was on, but then wait before
loading the next file.

I am running on Linux, with the display on a cygwin terminal.  I had a send
message box open, and found that if the send message box were the "active
window" on my Windows desktop, XAstir would only advance to the next map
file if I moved the cursor through the XAstir screen, which was in the
background.  It will also load normally if I select XAstir to be the "active
window".

This doesn't happen with other active X screens, such as Xterm.  I don't
know about other XAstir screens.

It also happens if the last XAstir screen that was active was the send
message box (for example, currently I have XAstir in the background, on top
of that is the send message box, which was the last XAstir screen I had
active, and on top of that is the Outlook Express Send Message box that I'm
writing in now.  The map loading is paused, but if I run the cursor through
the XAstir window, it will start again).

If I leave the cursor in the XAstir window, which is in the background, but
don't move it, then the maps will also pause.

All of these symptoms disappear when the send message box is closed.
