OK.. Here is what I get after a very carefully checked build of each module.. I
still am trying this with the lestiff module but will go get the motif stuff over
the weekend.
Below is the steps that were taken to build the system. This is on a Fedora Core 2
system running on a 2600 AMD CPU with 1 gb of ram.

The following is the modules and libraries that were used in the build of the Xastir
system:
PCRE="pcre-4.5"
LESSTIF="lesstif-0.93.94"
LIBTIFF="tiff-v3.6.1"
LIBGEOTIFF="libgeotiff-1.2.2"
JASPER="jasper-1.701.0.uuid"
GDAL="gdal-1.2.1"
SHAPELIB="shapelib-1.2.10"
PROJ="proj-4.4.8"
IMAGEMAGICK="ImageMagick-6.0.2"
XASTIR="xastir-1.3.3"
Xastir was configured as such:
./configure --with-shapelib=../shapelib-1.2.10 --with-dbfawk
Which resulted in:
xastir 1.3.3 has been configured using the
following external libraries.
