[Xastir] no connection to the internet server

hello

I'm using xastir-1.3.2 on a Fedora box. The compilation and installation
worked fine. But the connection to the internet will fail with the messge
"error opening interface 0 hard failed". I run the programm as root. The
chmod 4555 on the /usr/local/bin/xastir is also done. I guess there is a
permisson problem, but I can't find out where.
