[Xastir] SDTS file errors, part 2

Did this problem ever get resolved, I can't find any solution looking
through my archives from the list. I just started working with the SDTS
files direct from the USGS and I'm having the same problem. The 1:2m maps
work fine, but have no useful detail, however the 1:24k maps do not work and
I get messages in the terminal just like listed below. If anyone could help
that would be great.

Thanks,
Josh

OK, I went back and tried again. This time I made sure I had the
00MASTERDD_LRG extracted in the directory with the files from the 1:24k
hypsography tarball. Still no joy. When I add new maps and go to the
map chooser, there's no files listed under the directory and nothing
displays when I choose the directory. I get these errors when I index:

ERROR 1: Can't find IREF module in transfer
`/usr/local/share/xastir/maps/hsv_test3/DLG3MDIR.DDF'.

I get similar errors when I do the same thing for 1:100k data (using
00MASTERDD_100K.SDTS.tar.gz).

Any clues?
