[Xastir] Can't set my lat and long

Hello friends:
Using xastir 1.3.3 (last CVS) under Debian Sarge.
My problem is that i can't set my lat and long.
I set it ( 38 12.95N 000 30.89W) and xastir doesn't tx my possition.
Then when i start xastir another time:

Invalid Latitude, changing it to 0000.000N
Invalid Longitude, changing it to 00000.000W

Any help?
