[Xastir] I just joined the list today

Hi
I just joined the list today.
My OS is Debian-3.0r2-i386 vanilla
I am using the BayPac BP-2M
I have installed Xastir and receiving station data but with no map. What 
did I need to do to get map.  I need Oklahoma map
I have copied a map /usr/share/xastir/map/usa for the APRSDOS but can't 
get it work.
What do I need to do to see my map
