Scott Miller (N1VG) has been developing the OpenTRAC protocol. While
it's still a work in progress, this may be what we could concentrate on.
I know there's some people on this list who frequent the OpenTracker
Yahoo group, so some are familiar. Scott just mentioned on that group
recently that he's "specifically avoided the subject of network
routing." He's hoping someone with more experience in this will help
him out on it. I'm not sure if Scott subscribes to this list. Anyway,
check out www.opentrac.org for the protocol and www.n1vg.net/opentracker
for the hardware he's building that supports the OpenTRAC protocol (and
APRS).

Yet you hear all too often hams complaining about how the hobby is
dying.
