Windows cygwin or is it a real Linux Version
Type of filesystem should have no affect on a real linux system
I run Xastir on a everything from a 486 33mhz laptop to a 1.2 gig pentium
Any particular error when making the persistance folder?
in Linux that would be 'mkdir Persistance'
If windows running the CD perhaps you are trying to make it on the CD.
